About Me

Art has always been my thing, drawing mainly. After leaving school in 1977 I very rarely ‘made’ art apart from the odd sketch but some 35 years later, in 2013, I completed an A level course in fine art, where I discovered a passion for painting, that has consumed and delighted me since.

My portfolio is connected by the very talented and creative Scousers I depict, choosing them as a means of celebrating their local, cultural significance.

Commissions

The key to a successful Portrait is communication throughout the portrait process.   I will advise on how to take or choose the best photo for the painting.  Also, picking the correct composition and size of the painting as well as the background colour, so it fits perfectly in your home.

Once the portrait is started I will send regular updated images of the work in progress which enables me to alter the portrait, if necessary. Please contact me for more information.

Classes

Adult classes are at Kirkby Art Gallery on Wednesday afternoon, 1.00pm to 3.00pm.

Also, a children’s class “The Little Big Art Club” ages 7 to 13 at Kirkby Art Gallery, Saturday morning 10.30am to 12.30pm.
